If you are lazy (like I am right now), you could just create an owl smiley and have the tag name by "O' RLY"! That way you won't have to fret about getting the owl's expression just right in the tiny < 20 pixel per side area!

I submitted my 485 in julyEven i applied for my wife too.....we both got EAD, AP...She left to India...we have problems and we may seperate each other...So not sure when we get divorce because of outdated Indian marriage laws...Are there going to be any problems when they are adjudicating my 485 application? Her FP done and she got AP until Sep 2008...Now what will happen if USCIS sends out an FP notice for my wife...She won't be doing finger printing...Is it going effect my GC in anyway?
Since it looks like you are the primary applicant and your wife is the derivative beneficiary, I do not think your processing should be affected. I am not sure what you need to do to inform USCIS of your new status after you are divorced from your wife.

Whenever there is a tech system upgrade, especially of this magnitude, there are bound to have glitches, problems, etc...I wonder how smoothly the integration will go. Hopefully, all will be well and does not affect the productivity at CIS...The productivity is already so low at CIS...Hoping for the best...

I had the same issue last year. Per their website
(https://www.vfs-usa.co.in/Home.aspx) September 2006 dates are current, November may not be current yet. You will have to keep checking. The rules were being changed for the visa appointment procedures last Nov/ December. If you have already paid the HDFC fee you should also have free 15 minute telephone time to ask such questions from their agent in India or you might want to call them directly at the phone number below.
I am unsure about a single vs two appointments for you and your husband. Please confirm. It would be safer to direct such questions at the Embassy than at this forum because of the constant changes in the rules.

I was surprised to see my AP in hand
It seems it was approved on Oct 9 and my attorney received it on 22 oct
I received it today to be very surprised as the online message still says case received and pending
What surprises me more is that I had called USCIS 2 times between oct 9 and today and they didnot tell me that the case has been approved

3. Drive cross country with family and have fun. Meet all my friends on the way.
4. Return the van in San Francisco, take one way ticket to India.
5. Start a fresh life in India, free of immigration woes.
6. May be use I-485 receipt in Air India toilet on the way home (might hurt a bit but that is OK).

Most affected are Chinese and Indian members...I don't know much about Chinese but I know from experience that it is hard to get money out of Desis...

My wife entered to US with L2 dependent Visa and got SSN# with L2-EAD.Meanwhile we both applied and got H1 by employer A which is valid from OCT 06-SEP 09. Although she has enough experience but her medical condition she never worked and neither has pay-stub/W2. Then both of us never travelled out of US. Meanwhile she went India SEP 08 and stayed 5 months. When I went for vacation I got my H1 stamping and she got H4 stamping at the same time and we are in US. Now she got an offer from employer B and he is willing to do COS H4-H1for her. We checked with Employer A and they haven't revoked her H1b till now.
Our questions are
1) Since she doesn't have any paystub/w2, is it possible to do COS?
2) If #1 is okay what are DOCs she or me (if applicable) has to provide.
3) How long does it take to complete the COS if done by PP.
4) How much risk does this case carry/what are the issues she could face?
Really appreciated your valuable answers

Here is the Diwali story as told in 21st Century in US by Indians.

But Dude, the forest was reeeeal scary shit... really man...they had monkeys and devil s and shit like that. But this dude, Ram, kicked with darts and bows and arrows... so it was fine.

So,they deci ded to hitch a ride back home... and when the people realize that our dude, his bro and the wife are back home... they thought, well, you know, at least they deserve something nice... and they didn't have any bars or clubs in those days... so they couldn't take them out for a drink, so they, like, decided to smoke and shit... and since they also had some lamps, they lit the lamps also...so it was pretty cooool... you know with all those fireworks... . Really, they even had some local band play along with the fireworks... and you know, what, dude, that was the very first, no kidding.., thatwas the very first music-synchronized fireworks... you know, like the 4th of July stuff, but just, more cooler and stuff, you know. And, so dude,
that was how, like, this festival started."
Sentiments aside, at least you could have got the story right. That is not why Diwali is celebrated. So, may be get the story correctly before even trying jokes.
